THE LIFE AND THOUGHTS OF A BROADCAST JOURNALIST

A Few Thoughts on My New Life

I am happy. I love my job, the friends I’ve made here are great and Abilene isn’t all that bad. I couldn’t be happier.

I’m living on my own, supporting myself and am two months into the beginning of my career. It’s wonderful. I continue to make myself happy each and every day. My job is filled with all types of challenges. Each day is always unique. No day is ever the same. I generally run around like crazy trying to get stories and edit, typically working through lunch (which is mostly eating a snack in the car between interviews or while I edit) and always keeping my eye out for more stories.

It’s crazy, but I still love it. Taking this job and moving to the Big Country may have been one of the best decisions I’ve made thus far. I’m in love with my job, and I am happy. Who could ask for more?
